CRE Culture Night

Culture Night Due to a scheduling conflict with the Middle Schools, we are postponing our Culture Night to April 16th.  This is an important night in our community where we celebrate the many different cultures that make up CRE.  This event is intended to celebrate and educate our community about who we are:  Our cultures, our countries, our races, our heritages, our traditions – who we are.  We are sorry for the inconvenience and the scheduling conflict.  Each event is important and our goal is to serve all families. Our Culture Night is shifting structures this year and need your support.  Below is an outline of the events we have scheduled. Equity Alliance Group & Staff Development

We hope that you can join us for our CRE Equity Alliance Parent Group on Thursday, January 9th. This month, we will be participating in a case study that staff have analyzed and discussed as well as prepare for our upcoming Culture Night.  All are welcome to attend. MN Timberwolves Get Fit Kick Off

January is the MN Timberwolves Get Fit Kick Off.  During the month of January if a student earns 25 points in the Century Club they will receive bonus prizes from the MN Timberwolves.  In addition to any Century Club prizes earned the student will get a MN Timberwolves drawstring backpack and a coupon for a FREE ticket to a Timberwolves game (with adult purchase).  Just fill out the Century Club calendars like we always do and turn them into the gym by February 7 to be eligible for the Timberwolves prize.  Prize packages are delivered to the school (with promo code for ticket) at the end of February.  If you have ?’s please don’t hesitate to contact us.  More information can be found on our website under the “events”... 2020 Teacher of the Year Nominations are Now Open

The District 112 Foundation is excited to kick off the second half of the school year by announcing that nominations are now open for the 2020 Teacher of the Year. Students, parents, teachers, and principals are encouraged to nominate exceptional teachers within the Eastern Carver County School district for the District 112 Foundation’s 2020 Teacher of the Year. The award honors and recognizes outstanding teachers in the district who advance excellence and innovation in education. Nominations are accepted from Jan 2, 2020 through Feb 26, 2020. Nominations can be completed and submitted online: Only one nomination may be submitted per person and teachers may not nominate themselves. The Teacher of the Year winner will be announced in late spring and will receive a $3,000 grant from the District 112 Foundation to be used in the classroom.
